Deacons are servants who serve primarily in the area of the physical needs of people in and out of the church.  They serve out of love for people born by a love for Christ and a desire to manifest and declare his glory.  Actually all of these qualities so far should be the qualities of every Christian.  One who serves in this way and for these reasons gains an internal confidence that their faith is genuine.  Some of the believers who serve this way will be approved by God for the office of Deacon.  They will be approved by certain qualifications laid out in 1 Timothy 3:8 - 13.  This sermon is by Charlie Nason.
